Emeritus’s Bed Maintenance 2.0 solution is a full-service, comprehensive bed maintenance program that doesn’t stop and preventive maintenance and repairs. It includes process improvement, targeted training, and tangential add-ons such as mattress management and bed storage solutions.
Who Do You Provide Services To?
Emeritus provides medical equipment maintenance services specializing in hospital bed and stretcher management programs primarily to hospitals and other healthcare delivery organizations. We do not provide services in the home setting at this time.
Do You Fix Hospital Beds In Homes?
No. Our service model is made to provide high quality services for hospitals and other healthcare delivery organizations.
Do You Use OEM Parts?
Yes. Emeritus buys parts directly from the OEM. Our Bed Maintenance 2.0 clients benefit from an ample parts stock stored on-site drastically reducing downtime and risk of backordered parts.
What Kind Of Reporting Is Provided For Services?
Emeritus uses a Computerized Maintenance Managment System to document all service activities including PM Scheduling, Work Order management, and parts management. Our system is highly customizable and can provide reporting on any frequency the client requires. Reports can be available within 24 hours of service in most cases. Our reporting follows Joint Commission requirements. Additionally, Bed Maintenance 2.0 clients receive Quarterly Business Reviews with their service supervisor and dedicated technician(s). These reviews help ensure that continuous improvement is built into the program.
How Are Services Invoiced?
Services are typically invoiced monthly as a fixed cost, which helps our clients manage budgets effectively. Our billing process is transparent, with detailed breakdowns for clarity and compliance.
Are There Discounts Available?
Yes, Emeritus offers discounts for long-term contracts, with tiered discounts based on total number of assets under contract and for clients managing multiple facilities. We strive to provide cost-effective solutions that accommodate the financial needs of our clients.
How Do You Support Smaller Facilities That Don’t Warrant An In-House Technician?
For smaller facilities, Emeritus offers flexible service contracts tailored to their specific needs, which might include regular scheduled visits rather than an in-house presence, ensuring optimal maintenance without the full-time expense.
Can Emeritus Offer Training For Nurses, EVS And Transporters?
Absolutely! Emeritus provides regular user training sessions as part of our commitment to enhancing equipment usability and safety. These sessions are tailored to the roles of nurses and transporters, empowering them with the knowledge to use and manage medical equipment effectively.
What Does The Onboarding Process Look Like? How Long Does It Take?
The onboarding process involves an initial facility assessment, equipment inventory, on-site parts program development, implementation and/or improvement of workflows and staffing alignment, typically completed within 4-6 weeks. We ensure a smooth transition with minimal disruption to healthcare operations.
What Kind Of Training Do Your Technicians Receive?
Our technicians are trained and qualified to work on all makes and models of hospital beds and stretchers. We deploy a multi-faceted training program that involves in-house and OEM training. Our technicians are specialized bed experts who strictly follow OEM recommendations for preventive maintenance and repairs which ensures the highest quality, regulatory compliant, and cost-effective repairs for our clients.
What Is Your Policy Toward Abuse?
At Emeritus, we prioritize doing what's best for each client, maintaining a non-biased approach as an Independent Service Organization (ISO). We work with our clients often covering the labor to perform misuse/abuse repairs while our clients cover the costs of the parts. We track trending repairs to ensure proper education is provided to users, EVS, and transportation departments to help decrease the opportunity for misuse and abuse repairs.
Can You Service Other Devices?
While our specialty is hospital beds and stretcher maintenance, we also provide services for various medical devices as part of our comprehensive maintenance programs.
How Do You Help With Mattresses?
Emeritus specializes in comprehensive mattress management, which includes tracking, inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs. We ensure mattresses are in top condition, enhancing patient comfort and reducing the risk of Hospital-Acquired Infection (HAIs). Emeritus can provide a launderable bed frame/mattress barrier that reduces cleaning requirements, risk of HAIs, while increasing the life of your mattresses.
How Do You Rectify Bed Storage Issues On-Site?
Emeritus rectifies bed storage challenges with our innovative bed storage system that enhances hospital efficiency by storing beds vertically. How Do You Help With Nurse Call Systems?
While our primary focus is on hospital bed maintenance, we coordinate with in-house biomed and IT teams to ensure components attached to the bed are well maintained.
